You can reset your password directly from the PokerStars desktop software.
- Open the PokerStars software.
- Select 'Log in'.
- Select 'Forgot password?'

- Open the PokerStars app
- Select ‘Forgot password?’ on the login screen

How do I reset my password using the website?
You can reset your password from the PokerStars website.
- Open the PokerStars website
- Under ‘Log in’, select ‘Forgot password/username?’
- Enter your username or registered email address
- Submit the request
An automated email with reset instructions will be sent to your registered email address.
What should I do if I did not receive the password reset email?
If the password reset email does not arrive within a few minutes, try the following:
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Make sure PokerStars emails are not blocked by your email provider
- Add the PokerStars sender address to your contacts or safe sender list
If the email is still missing:
- Repeat the password reset process
- Select ‘Contact Us’ to open the Support form
When completing the Support form:
- Enter your email address
- Add a subject line
- Provide at least three requested account details
- Select ‘Send’
Can I open a new account if I forgot my password?
No. For security and game integrity reasons, you cannot open a new account if you have forgotten your password.
You must recover access to your existing account.
How do I change my password if I know my current password?
You can change your password after logging in to your account.
Desktop software
- Log in to the PokerStars software
- Go to Settings → Account Details → Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm your new password
- Select ‘Apply’
Mobile app
- Open the Account section
- Go to Login & Security → Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm your new password
- Select ‘Apply’
