From Bahamas to Czechia: Panka and Shylko add more PokerStars silverware at EPT Prague
Youâre no doubt watching the EPT Prague Main Event right now, where Maria Lampropulos has the opportunity to match Mike Watson as the only player to have won both PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) and European Poker Tour (EPT) titles.
But Lampropulos isnât the only big Bahamas winner to have been busy here in Prague.
Dominik Panka, who took down the PCA Main Event for $1.42 million back in January 2014 (then followed it up with a High Roller win for âŹ272,000 at EPT Deauville later that same month), has captured another PokerStars trophy this week with his victory in the âŹ3,250 EPT Mystery Bountyâone of the flagship events at any EPT stop.

The former PokerStars Team Pro defeated a field of 636 entries, besting Nikolai Ogoltsov after a heads-up deal to bank âŹ204,581, plus âŹ110,000 in bounties. For his efforts, Ogoltsov collected âŹ183,719.
Panka currently sits third on Polandâs all-time money list with $3.86 million in cashes, and it all started with that breakout win in the Bahamas.
The same can be said of PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) 2023 champion Aliaksandr Shylko, who also picked up another trophy for his collection this week.
Shylko also picked up trophies for his SCOOP and WCOOP wins while in Prague
Shylkoâwho won a mouth-watering $3.1 million at the PSPCâwas victorious in an event with a far smaller field but much larger buy-in: the âŹ25,000 Super High Roller Second Chance.
But what the field lacked in numbers it made up for in talent. Shylko reached heads-up play with Ognyan Dimov (âcocojamb0â on PokerStars) and the pair cut a deal, with Shylko earning âŹ71,725 and Dimov taking home âŹ70,775.
Niklas Astedt was therefore the bubble boy, busting in third place, while PokerStars Live League High competitor Enrico Camosci bowed out in fifth.

Two wins this week for Enrico Camosci
Camosci has enjoyed plenty of success this week, mind. Heâs picked up not one but two silver spadies, winning a âŹ20,000 NLH Unlimited Re-Entry for âŹ85,690 and a âŹ25,000 NLH Unlimited Re-Entry for âŹ66,419.
Interestingly, the runner-up in both of Camosciâs wins was Estoniaâs Ottomar Ladva. His âŹ52,331 cash in the latter was enough to take him into the black.
