ABOUT David K Lappin
Hailing from Ireland, David K Lappin is one of the most respected voices in the poker world. A seasoned live professional, writer, commentator and podcast host, he has built a reputation not only through his results at the table but also through his contributions to the community. David has lived in Malta for many years, where he plays the local live circuit and is heavily involved with the island’s poker community. Away from the tables, he is one half of the podcast duo behind The Chip Race, alongside fellow Irishman Dara O’Kearney. In 2025, David added a new chapter to his poker story when he won the inaugural PokerStars Live League, earning a year-long ambassadorship as a PokerStars Team Pro. The season-long competition saw players accumulate points across various PokerStars live events, with the top performers advancing to the audition stage. David’s consistency throughout the year, combined with his deep roots in the live circuit, ultimately secured him the title.
