CHILLING (5) returned from a spell in a similar race to this at Port Macquarie last start where he did well to finish just 1.2 lengths off the winner after racing handy. Not a noted first-up performer so that was a positive sign. Looks hard to beat with the senior rider going on. RISK ASSESSMENT (10) appreciated the drop in grade when a close second over 1270m at Taree last time out. Only needs to hold that form to be competitive again. MONTE TIANA (6) returns from a short spell. Opened last prep with a placing in maiden company over this trip then progressed nicely through the campaign. Should be ready to run well. COSMIC FORTUNE (7) went back in trip and improved out of sight last start in a 1000m BM58 at Ballina. Likely to be thereabouts again in this softer race from an ideal draw.
