BON SHADOW (1) is a long time between wins and might be past his best but hasn't contested a race as winnable as this for a while. The 1.25-length 2nd to Big Me in BM70 grade three runs back looks lovely form this and he's drawn ideally. BEAUKATI (10) was a big drifter first-up but was beaten less than 1.5 lengths in track record time. SANDRINE (15) finished two lengths away from the winner last start but the three runs prior were all good enough to shake the life out of this. MONSOON REINS (8) should be forgiven for last start given he was a first-up winner and had trialled well coming into the preparation.
