INTRUDER (2) ran his best race this prep when finishing runner-up by a nose here nearly 2 weeks ago over 1200m. He has been trying to win a race for some time, and he may now be reaching his full maturity. He is one of many chances in this field and could well get the job done this time. PEAK MISS (10) improved off a modest debut effort here with a better effort on the poly track 4 weeks ago, running on strongly to finish third. The extra furlong will help her, and she can figure in the finish again. PAPAL WARS (4) went close to breaking through during a spring campaign and is resuming from a spell that would have done him the world of good. He is only lightly tried for a 5-year-old gelding and is bred to improve with time. Don't risk him fresh up. GRAND TORINO (1) has been away from the races for nearly a year. He is bred to need some time, and was third in his only start last prep at Toowoomba. Use the market as your guide.
